Ray buys Bodie an expensive gift that turns out not to be 'perfect' but it leads to the start of a relationship. The story is delightful and also makes us think about the nature of gifts, their 'value' and their unintended consequences. A really good and Christmassy fic - fluff with an underlying seriousness that's like the best Christmas cake!
