Festive gifts
Dec. 6th, 2011 07:49 amGood morning! I'm posting early in the day in the hope that someobdy might sort out my woeful inability to get the links right before tomorrow!
I want to rec a lovely story from last year's DiaLJ collection:
A Festive Gift by

It was posted on 30th December 2010 - go to
discoveredinalj, go to the profile page and scroll down till you come to Discovered in the Fairy Lights, click on that then find 30th December.
miwahni and
golden_bastet have taken pity on me and told me to use the following: This way to story
Ray buys Bodie an expensive gift that turns out not to be 'perfect' but it leads to the start of a relationship. The story is delightful and also makes us think about the nature of gifts, their 'value' and their unintended consequences. A really good and Christmassy fic - fluff with an underlying seriousness that's like the best Christmas cake!

<a href*=*"http://discoveredinalj.livejournal.com/196978.html"> This way to story </*a>
Change the text between the two lots of brackety-things (there's a technical word for you!)to whatever you want the link to say.
Hope that helps!
ETA: and of course my deliberately-borked html has resulted in the error message at the top....

(And if you use < and > you can show in text what the code should be. lt = "less than" and gt = "greater than")
