One of my favourite things is to imagine our lads with all the other agents at CI5, and so I have a definite soft spot for the CI5 Christmas office party. Another of my favourite things is the lads yearning for each other, so this fic is a bit of a treat really. *g* For the last of the CI5hq Advent recs this year, let your hair down, pop your party knickers on, and settle down to enjoy...

beachtowalkonIt feels like ages since I've read much Pros, just little bits now and then, but last night I started re-reading E.T's A Beach to Walk On, and I've been reading it over breakfast and now I'm feeling all beach-y and happy with the lads! *g* It's set after Mixed Doubles, when the lads have been promised their two weeks holiday by Cowley, and he actually lets them go. Doyle's rather down about the villains having used dum-dums, and Bodie's determined to drag him out of it. Neither of them want to be on their own, and I love the way they enjoy being with each other so much, and the way Bodie realises that they need to be, to get over the Parsali op... and I love the sun shining on the sea, and that first glimpse of it as you get closer to the coast, and Bodie's glee and Doyle's disguised joy of it... ET writes very good lads! *g*

sorcererswebThe zine I just finished re-reading was A Sorcerer's Web by Liz Bradford, which I've loved in the past. I still liked it this time, and Bradford is a good, solid writer, but I was a bit more annoyed at tortured-and-vulnerable Bodie this time, and I slightly misremembered the ending, which I thought had been a bit more somehow. But still good. *g*

Is anyone else still reading Pros fic? What was the last Prosfic you read (long or short *g*), and what did you think of it? What are you reading now?

Christmas Pantomime by ET

This is a fun wee romp, with the lads attending the annual CI5 Christmas bash. For some reason that's a bit of a bullet-proof kink of mine - maybe for the same reason I love to read about them on holiday, or away from London, they're just a bit more relaxed, things are just a bit more unexpected as a result, and they're both looking at their world through slightly different eyes (shush - their own eyes, you can be too literal, you know! *g*) There's a kind of magic in the air, in that sort of situation, and anything can happen... *g*

He's behind you... *g*

Title: Wishful Thinking
Author: ET
Link to story: Circuit Archive
Zine: Not in a zine - on ProsLib CD

I really liked this little story - it's a stream-of-consciousness one, seen from both the lads points of view in turn, after Doyle has done something unforgivable... I could just hear him pottering around his flat though, thinking about it all, and then Bodie... well, Bodie doing what Bodie did... *g*

Has anyone else read this one?

ETA - Ooh, also realised that I fibbed about availability, ET is online!
