The Reading Room
Jun. 10th, 2009 08:39 amdeserves a medal for having the courage to recc a fic as long and demanding as "The Cook and the Warehouseman" by Helen Raven, and another medal for dedication in dealing so eloquently with so many and varied readers’ comments.
I’m so glad you did recc it, though. I for one would never had go around to it without the motivation of other people reading and discussing it at the same time, and adding so much to the experience of encountering this fic for the first time.
The fic for this week is the very much shorter "Voice-over" by Elizabeth O'Shea, kindly recced by

Date: 2009-06-10 08:31 am (UTC)Thanks very much for 16 July too. I'm really interested to know what others think of Sebastian, and whether this fic is representative.

Date: 2009-06-10 09:47 am (UTC)It was great to find we were able to handle an online dissection of such a long story, under extremely able 'supervision'.
I'd love to rec Suitable Gravity but I am quite often away/offline for a month at a time and am never sure when that month will start/end so I can't possibly commit myself to anything. I'm wondering if you could twist someone else's arm, virtually speaking? I always read the stories and catch up on the discussions when I get home!
