[livejournal.com profile] callistosh65 and I were chatting in my post about Pros curtain fic recs, and we suddenly realised that we were defining "curtain fic" in completely different ways, and one thing led to another and so we thought we'd do a poll to see what other people thought! Please help us!

I've been reading Pros fic since the days of the Hatstand Express when it was sent by mail... the physical sort.

I see from the other comments that the term comes from X Files which is interesting cos I used to read over there too, though not for the past 4 or 5 years, and I wasn't interested in Mulder/Krycek.

(If I was going to name fic in a domestic setting I'd be tempted to call it 'kitchen sink' in reference to kitchen sink drama but that's just me. *g*)

And I really must get some Pros icons.

Wouldn't happen to be SG-1, would it?

It might be. I know it as a term for a certain sort of play, a small scale, 'domestic' drama.

Oops I didn't say ... in any fandom. I also read or have read Next Gen and Voyager and both Star Gates and scraps here and there in Dr Who and Starsky and Hutch
