When I read this story a few years ago it struck me as being a bit 'different' from the norm....it had a certain kind of sweetness about it, not sickly sick, but a wistful kind of sweetness....and it was gentle and sad. And in turn I was touched by Bodie's generosity, then his jealousy.....

Exactly! I was just thinking....I read it years ago and I was wondering if I read it for the first time today would I still enjoy it? *If* tastes change, it's funny how they tend to evolve from light to dark, from sweet to bitter, or from milk chocolate to Bournville.....emotions and taste don't seem to move in the other direction, though I could be absolutely wrong....

Oooohh, I've got 'Midsomer Murders' on the tele and the actress who played Soooooosan in a Pros ep is on. I feel so proud of these actors when I see them still working years later.

Just read this and liked it very much!
And I'm always impressed when an author shows great knowledge of a specialised subject and wonder if they did loads of reasearch, or just already knew about it...In this case it's classical music and violins!

You really shouldn't! I am always happy to get some inspiration, because there is still such a big mountain ahead of me when I go to the circuit archive...
