Loitering Palely changes

Probably no one would even notice this if I didn't mention it here, but just in case... *g*

I have subverted the lj comm that I set up to support the Palelyloitering Pros zine website, since I now have an email address that is up on the website. Rather than lose a lovely ad-free lj comm though, loiteringpalely is now going to be somewhere that I work on actually doing some writing, even if it's a sentence a day. A place where there are no excuses! I shall work on one WIP at a time there, posting new parts of the story as I write them, with the previous parts in the same post, under a cut, for continuity.

At least that's today's plan. *g*

If you detest WIPs (and I know most people say they do!), then it's not at all for you, but feel free to come hang out and comment as desired otherwise (no posting though, that's just me)!

Thanks very much to everyone who sent in comments to help with Palelyloitering - I've archived them all safely, never fear, and do feel free to contact me still via the website email address, or my own, if you know it...

What a *great* idea! I think if the writing's good it doesn't really matter whether you're a great fan of WIP or not.....it's just enjoyable watching something grow/evolve for all kinds of reasons: for its own sake - the fun of seeing the story develop and then, maybe, from a writing theory/intellectual point of view - seeing what direction and shape the words are taking you, wondering and speculating where the writing and the writer is going next, blah, blah. oh, I don't know *what* I mean, but as you imply, hopefully it will motivate you to write something on a regular basis in the knowledge that we're all waiting to read the next bit (no pressure).

But yes, I think I do know what you mean, and hopefully it might be just as interesting to see how stuck I get, and how little I can write in days and days on end... eep! Glad you like the idea though!

May I ask a question please? (Can't ask much else, I suppose). Thought I'd better check, but what's the difference between being a 'Member' and one of the 'Watched by'....? Does one carry lots of responsibility? (I've spent all my life trying to avoid *that* one).

Well... *g* The way I understand is that if you're a member, you've got the right to post in the comm. (Except that I've disabled posting for anyone except me. Well, if you try I'll get a message saying that you're trying, and I'll ask you to take over writing my stories forever, and then you'll have to be me, and I'll have your glorious talent and all those lovely black and white images of the lads! Wheee - mine, all mine! Sorry... what was the question?) Erm... but if you want me to pop up in your flist as soon as a new bit is written, then you need to be Watching the comm as well. Or instead of.

Right. Even though I'd rather write wonderful, original stories *any* time as opposed to just being able to move the colour icon to black and white at my picture manager, I still think I'll settle for being one of the 'watchers' if that's OK...... voyeurism's more my cup of tea.
