I've just read this and it captured my imagination and kept my interest all the way through. Not a slash story as such (*SHOCK HORROR* Zoe reads something that could be viewed as a gen story!!!) it is set in Africa, pre-CI5 and tells a story of Bodie being captured and held in a sort of prison, but the story she tells tells of friendships borne out of hardship, and has murder and rape at it's heart.

I really enjoyed the story, I'll be honest. I'd like to know what other people think of it.

Ooh, I'm fascinated by this because I've got this zine listed at palelyloitering (http://www.palelyloitering.com/zines/house%20of%20cards.html), which looks very much like it's a collection of the stories you're talking about - only I have it as a slash zine, and it's not just set in Africa (the first part, "Ace of Spades" is) but also later in CI6 ("The Joker is Wild"). So... you've got this as three zines? Discovered on a Rooftop, House of Cards, and Joker's Wild? Interesting... *g*

I think the first part, Ace of Spades, was published in the anthology zine, DOAR, but then compiled with its sequel, The Joker's Wild, in that two story zine, House of Cards.

Does this make sense at all?? LOL
