Date: 2008-03-22 09:25 pm (UTC)It's another angsty one, this time mostly from Bodie's point of view, although it uses Doyle's as well. Set during Involvement, we see the lads' relationship, and how Bodie reacts to the threat of Ann Holly. Turns out he's prepared to go to any lengths to keep his man... *g*
The story starts out with a rather good knee trembler, which sets the tone of their relationship, and it had me hooked right there, right until the world is turned around at the end, and we see, of course, the way the lads' relationship is absolutely symbiotic...
*I've never ever heard "Bugger all!" used as an exclamation the way Tallis (and a few other authors, actually) uses it here. It's not the equivalent of the exclamation "Bugger it!", it's an answer to a question: "How much is he paying us?" - "Bugger all!"... Sorry, just had to say! And of course now someone'll point out that in some place I've never been that's exactly how it's used... *g*
