Today my recommendation is

A Pugnacious Angel
by Gil Hale.

I read this Christmas story for the first time back in March and was determined to remember to rec it when the season arrived. It is a gen fic, but the bond between Bodie and Doyle comes through strongly. There are also some convincing angst, some danger, some hurt/comfort, and a little backstory.
