I have just learned that when I put this story on the Circuit Archive a bit more than a year ago, I made some errors in the html tags that caused groups of paragraphs at the beginnings of certain sections of the story (particularly in the second half of the story) not to be displayed at all. Unfortunately, the missing bits are quite important to the story, and the errors had the effect of making it seem as if there were leaps and apparent plot holes and aspects of the story that didn't make sense, when fact those were my fault and not the author's.
I truly regret these errors, and I urge everyone who's read the story off the Archive in the past year to go back and take another look at the correct and complete version, which you can find here:
Never the Words They Say
by Slantedlight
If you found yourself lost when you read it the first time, the corrections should clear up the confusion, and even if you didn't, the correct version will make more sense and represents the story as the author intended it.
And if any of you notice errors in your stories or anywhere else on the Archive, please let me know - I want it to be as accurate as possible, and I will make corrections immediately.
