This fic was only posted in 2020 and hasn't been recced before as part of the Advent calendar. It is another fic evoking a mix of emotions. I'm not sure why I'm picking those fics, since I'm gung-ho for Christmas as a rule. Perhaps it's just something I admire in a story. 2,224 words.
