Prosfic Advent Calendar - December 12th

My recommendation today is

Nothing Written in Stone
by Josey.

This fic's Christmas theme is understated, which may be why it has not been included in any previous Advent calendar. The theme is there, though, along with a multi-part plot and a mix of unusual conflicts with the usual ones. I like the combination a lot.

Thanks for the rec. I don't know it jet and it is such a long story so it will take me some days to finish it. But it is on my reading list for my holiday now.

It is a very long fic. That could be another reason it hasn't been included in any previous Advent calendar. I did question whether I should recommend it, but in the end I decided to because it is one of my favorite Christmas Pros fics. I would have liked to offer a very short rec, too, as an alternative, but I don't think that's in the spirit of the game.
