I think we have a wee quorum of people who are up for a Pros Novel Read-Along of Rob's Waiting to Fall, and since it's only Tuesday perhaps we could start this week with just the first chapter? We might want to hurry along later and do more than one chapter at a time, but let's see how we go. *g*
So - this week's chapter is Chapter One of:
Waiting to Fall by Rob
Also available on the ProsLib dvd
I'll post to open discussion of the chapter sometime on Friday, but of course drop in whenever you can - hope to see you there! *g*

I expect to find it easier to keep my place with the fic in an ebook format. It will also make it possible to adjust the size of the type and other text attributes.

Date: 2021-02-17 12:51 am (UTC)I must admit that I'm planning to print out the chapters as we go along (wondering how many ink cartridges it'll take!), because I find it hard to go back and forth on my e-reader, which I always want to do when I'm talking about stories. I found the UK Paper Circuit copy, but it's pretty stinky, so I think a new version is needed!

There's just a coupe of lines/phrases missing in the online Circuit Archive copy, and the copy from S's library. The first one we've done - thank you! Then:
Chapter 4 - second last section, there's a paragraph starting "Sighing quietly, Bodie..." and at the end of that para is "Covering the sleeper with a light blanket, Bodie [missing phrase] dressed and making himself some breakfast."
Chapter 5 - second section, I think - ""You all right?" asked Bodie from his propped-up position in the bed, puzzled by Doyle's behaviour [missing line] not even attempting to open the casement."
That's all I can see so far, and I don't think our Read-Along will uncover anything else to be honest, but you never know, and it would be great to add those little bits, thank you!
