I've never fully understood the rules for Prosfic Bingo, things like, who or what decides the category to be filled if a story overlaps two different kind of squares? And is the person doing the review the person who would actually post it? Thanks.
The person claiming a bingo square decides which category they want their story to fit (e.g. if it's a comedy-case fic featuring an animal and is written from Cowley's pov, they can only claim one of those squares for it, but they get to choose which one). You can see that the people who've added reviews have also noted their chosen squares in the subject header.
The person who posts their review to ci5hq notes which square they're claiming, and then I update the bingo card with their icon. I didn't think I could ask people to mess around with the code for tables and adding their own icons and so on - it's simple enough when you've worked out how to do it, but it takes a bit of working out! *g*
This community bingo is a bit different, I guess, because we're all doing it on a single bingo card instead of each having our own cards. If we each had our own cards then we could update them ourselves - but then I'd've had to work out a way that was easy for people to do that too!
