Prosfic Rec Advent Calendar, Day Six: Bodie for Christmas by Meridian (Meri)

While searching for a story for today I found this lovely picture made by myrebelcat. And because it isn't safe for work I'll put it under a cut.



And I thought "Hey, there is a story which goes with this picture." The story I had in mind is Bodie for Christmas by Meridian (Meri).

I like how the disappointment Doyle feels when he discovers that his flat seems empty and there's no food cooking in the kitchen changes to anticipation when he reaches his bedroom. Ok, the ribbon is blue in the story, but will any of us complain?

I hope you enjoy the story like I did.
