Continuing the vaguely literature-ish theme begun by jat_sapphire and continued by tinturtle, I finally decided to opt for what must be one of the first - if not the first, in 1992 - Christmas Carol-inspired Pros fics:

The author's Doyle is slightly more grumpy than I probably see in the eps, but not so much that I can't go with it, and I love the way she brings him his come-uppance. So to speak. *g* M. Fae is a rock-solid writer, the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future are inspired, and along the way we find out a bit more about how Doyle came to be his fierce, independent, sometimes grumpy self. I really like this - hope you do too! *g*

She is such a good writer--there were some passages I just marveled at. Yes, Doyle isn't quite that grouchy, really, and Bodie not quite that patient and sweet, but a great story.
