Um, I have a gripe. I know most of us have favorite tropes, and many writers have headcanon that turns up in more than one story.
But imagine this: Bodie and Doyle share a flat. They argue one night, and Bodie storms out, so he ends up sleeping in the VIP lounge. The next morning, red roses are delivered to HQ with a card saying, "I love you forever," and signed Rachel. Or Ramona.
I mean, OK. I am not moved to tears, but sure, I can go with that romantic gesture. Once. Not in two stories that are otherwise set in separate B/D universes. Tsk, tsk, Elessar. I hope you, fellow fans, read them in the same order I did, The first one had a premise I was barely there for anyway, and if it had been the SECOND one, I might just have quit reading Elessar.
Well, onward. (Nobody would do that THREE times. Right?)
