Is anyone reading Pros fic at the moment? It's quiet here - and there, and there, too! It's nearly the end of August, and it's the late August bank holiday here in lads' land, so let's have a reading challenge this week! This is how to join in:
1 - Read a Pros fic!
2 - Post here to let us know what it was and whether you enjoyed it!
3 - Repeat, repeat, repeat until the end of the week! *g*
There - easy one, right? I know it's been a wee while since I read a Pros fic last - if it's the same for you, then let's see if we can get back into the habit for a wee while, because it's one of those good habits, isn't it... *g*

Date: 2020-08-29 09:39 pm (UTC)I got it from the old Circuit Archive. Seek it out and you will find therein such delights as: 1. Learn what "epiphora" means 2. Hear what the Squad talks about in the Rest Room (sample quote "Oh, swine swallop.") 3. Visit a distinguished medical consultant on the famous Harley Street (sample quotes "Indoors somewhere, someone coughed. It seemed a polite, patrician sort of sound." and "Bodie felt Sir Graehme's disapproval was aimed at an absent third party of dubious distinction."
This fic is one of my all time faves due to the skillful use of language that is enchantingly rewarding and the gorgeous quote by Swinburne that gives the title and ends the story. Happy reading!

Professional Dreamer by Pamela Rose
Date: 2020-08-30 02:39 pm (UTC)My last story was Professional Dreamer by Pamela Rose (https://archiveofourown.org/works/23931976). It's a very funny feelgood story, and I love especially the most unusual first meeting of Bodie and Doyle!

Date: 2020-08-30 04:43 pm (UTC)That Dibble who thinks he's Doyle, and Philip who knows he's not Bodie, are hilarious!
Such a story shouldn't work - but it does! :-)

Date: 2020-09-01 12:45 am (UTC)Love the way Doyle goes from jilted lover to curious George to Lover. It’s a really sweet piece especially with Bodie putting his foot in it (or so he thinks) in an effort to cheer Doyle up.

All are amazing stories and good reads😁👍
I liked the Catcalls with both Bodie and Doyle having to pretend to be gay while discovering they really do like each other that way. And thinking of them posing naked - well 😁😁
