Here's a story to ease us into the Christmas month - which often starts out a bit restless and fretful, rather like Bodie here. Partner worry stories are one of my bullet-proof kinks, and PFL does this one nicely. We're there with Bodie all the way, to the point that it doesn't feel like a Bodie-alone story, because Doyle is there in Bodie's head the whole way too. Will Doyle get home to see his mum at Christmas? Read it to find out... *vbg*

Date: 2019-12-03 03:45 am (UTC)A lovely start to the season, thank you! I don't think I'd read this one before, and I loved it. I agree, verywell handled. Some beauties in this one, like:
something in Bodie had ached—for him, for them both. He had been unable to disobey the impulse to reach out, slide his fingers through Doyle's hair and cup his head. He'd needed to feel the warmth that lived within Doyle. He'd needed to capture that warmth, taste it— And so he'd brought his mouth to Doyle's.
Just perfect. And it's the unspoken communication, the way they read each other, can see truth in each other's eyes that makes me deliriously happy.
