Okay, there is a definite majority in favour of reading a chapter through the week and discussing it over the weekend, so that's decision number one! Of course that's not a limit - if you want to jump into the conversation on a Wednesday or Thursday then that's fine too, but the discussion will open at the weekend.

Rather surprisingly, considering it's already Thursday (evening, lads' time!), there was also a majority for starting this weekend, so we'd better get our reading-eyes on! I'll probably open the discussion on Saturday, but if you don't manage to finish the chapter and come to chat until Sunday (or Monday or Tuesday or... *g*), then that's fine. And it will all even out from Monday, when we will then have a whole week to read the next chapter.

Luckily the first chapter we're going to read is pretty short anyway! It is:

Painted Angels by Angelfish.
First chapter is the Prologue - c4000 words, approx 7 A4-size pages.

Like I say, I'll make a post here on Saturday to start the discussion - feel free to drop by at any time! And do use lj's tracking feature if you can - other people's comments on the post will be sent to you via email (if that's the option you choose) so that you can see whether you want to jump in and reply to them!

Hello, you! I must admit that I can't currently remember the story at all, though I know I've read it. The nice thing about a sieve-memory sometimes... *g*

I hope so too as I'll probably totally FORGET to join in! My brain is like a constantly waterlogged sponge. Hope this isn't a potent of things to come.

However, it's a wonderful and 'classic' story the likes of which we don't see much nowadays.
