I think most people who commented on the other posts, and/or showed interest, have voted in the poll now, which means that I can announce - our first novel in the Read-Along will be: Painted Angels by Angelfish.
First chapter is the Prologue - c4000 words, approx 7 A4-size pages.
It was a very close thing, as you can see - Painted Angels and Catch a Fallen Star by Rosemary both had four votes each. Painted Angels pipped it by being more people's second choice - but what I'd suggest is that if it all goes well this time, we make Catch a Fallen Star our second read-along novel.
So all that's left to wonder now, is about the timing of it. No one wants to rush reading (though hopefully chapter-chunks won't be too long each time), so I'm going to suggest two options - we either read during the week, and then come together to chat over the weekend, or we read over the weekend, and come together to chat throughout the week. Which means we'll either chat about this first chapter this weekend (or next weekend, if two days isn't enough notice for people) or else on Monday. So - another poll!

Date: 2019-03-28 07:52 pm (UTC)Can the chatting continue during the week?
I'm often "doing things" on the weekend, and might not be able to join in as much as I'd like. :)

Go Pros!
