Today I'd like to rec Silent Night by Cambria Q.Collins.
It's from the zine Christmas Lites, and it is not online I'm afraid(?). But here or here are a few informations.

Bodie is in hospital after an op went wrong. He feels lonely and melancholic, and he feels a bit like the snowflakes...

"Disregarding the IV stuck in his wrist, Bodie twitched the curtains aside and stared out.  Snow fell like diamonds from the sky and lay like a dazzling trove spilled over the grimy streets.  He felt kinship to the silent flakes, each a frozen droplet journeying alone through inky heavens, buffeted by winds until it reached its natural end and joined with others of its kind.  He had journeyed alone all his life, searching for others of his kind and always being disappointed when they couldn't understand him any better than he understood himself.  But in the past year he'd almost been convinced he'd reached the end of his search and found his place. "

*sigh*
Of course it is Doyle he's dreaming of. :-)

"George Cowley had opened a path and once he'd stepped onto it Bodie had found he wasn't alone, there were others like him.  And there was one person who had been like a mirror image, striding shoulder to shoulder every move he made.  Ray Doyle wasn't like anybody Bodie had ever met before.
He was fire to Bodie's ice, a man who breathed out when Bodie drew breathe, and he was the only man in the world Bodie wanted to call friend."

Ok. If I don't stop here, I post the whole story... :-)
I think it is very sweet! ...Christmas sweet! And you should read it if you happen to own the zine, or you have a friend with it.

Happy Christmas time to everybody!

Yes, that sounds like a very nice, sweet Christmasstory. Right what I needed today. Thanks for the rec, I searched my zines and I have it. :-)

And it sounds as if you found the story you were searching in prosfinder a few months ago, doen't it?

If this is the same story I can't believe the coincidence because I've just been looking at it, literally! It's also published under the names of Anubisheart/katy Deery and was at The Automated Hatstand which can still be found at The Wayback Machine:

If it's not the same story then I apologise!

Sorry! I thought it must be the same as both involved dreams and hospitals! At least it's a new story for you and thank you for your rec.
