I had a hard time picking a vid because I love dozens of them. Classic? New? Which to pick. I wish I could pick at least oh, five or six! LOL! But let's pick one and not look at others! It's far too distracting!

So for my Friday Night Pros Vid I'm picking (drum roll!) (No, not one of my own!)...

International Dateline by zzebeddy

I picked this vid for several reasons. The biggest one is it shows that you can take a classic show like Pros and make it new and fresh. It still holds up after almost 40 years. It's still interesting and exciting, and with new technology it shows like a current programme. I also like the starkness of the song.

International Dateline
Ladytron

Woke up in the evening
To the sound of the screaming
Through walls that were bleeding
All over me

Untied and weightless
Unconscious as we cross
The international dateline
Let's end it here

Grown tired of the show coast
And the ones that we toast
There are no zeros
Around here

Untied and weightless
Unconscious as we cross
The international dateline
Let's end it here

Let's end it here
Let's end it here
Let's leave her here
Let's end it here

Woke up in the evening
To the sound of the screaming
Through walls that were bleeding
All over me

Untied and weightless
Unconscious as we cross
The international dateline
Let's end it here

Let's end it here
Let's end it here
Let's leave her here
Let's leave her here

Let's end it here
Let's end it here
Let's leave her here
Let's leave her here

I've seen that one before. Cool Vid--I like that she doesn't use the same shots many vidders use, since she didn't need B and D to be next to each other always. There's a definite sense of being watched, encased, closed in.

I really appreciate all of the skill and work that a vid like this requires! It is wonderful to feel as though you are seeing everything fresh again, in a new way. Seeing details I've never noticed before. Thanks for reccing it!

Nice to see a vid that was new to me, and very moody it is too. I like that the vidder has used a lot of clips that don't tend to turn up repeatedly in every second vid.

That would make it difficult, for sure.

I hadn't really noticed before, but last night I binge-watched just about every Pros vid I have saved to my PC, and the number of repeated clips really stood out. Whereas when I'm seeing a vid in isolation i don't tend to notice so much.

This vid is new to me. I love the different visual effects zzebeddy has used as well as the diversity of the images. It's a fabulous illustration of the breadth of the remit of CI5. Ta for sharing this!

Very smart vid! I remember this when it came out, but I don't think I've watched it since, so thanks for the reminder. I tend to think of it as a "gen" vid, I guess, because it's not really Bodie/Doyle, but their life in CI5 and the spy side of things. Which is interesting in its own right, and nice to think about now and then, but not ultimately why I watch Pros, which I suppose is why I haven't given this alot of play time. It's a great song as well though, very moody. Cheers!

Epic video. Edgy, moody and quite risky. I love all the odd angles and out of kilter shots and the way they mount up to give a disconcerting atmosphere. I love watching the show through the vidder's eyes. It's like a French art house film! The lads and Cowley are dangerous and in control in a pared back, gritty world. Class act. :)

Sorry, been too caught up in my own stuff to participate thus far, but catching up now - and what a treat. One of my all time fav vids!

And I'd not heard of Ladytron before, so bonus. I find that I find bands in lots of ways, but two of my habits are looking up the bands/artists, bands say have influenced them and checking out film/fan vid soundtracks.

I love this vid and play it often.

It's everything everyone else has already said. Potted Pros - and for me a huge part of the love is the cars and carnage. So this vid, which concentrates on the series vibe, is a real treasure for me. Like Heinz used to say (and still allude to on their tins) 57 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinz_57) varieties represented in one can :0)
