Oh no! I dropped the Christmas bauble yesterday - sorry! Last day of work, and then a postcode meal for Christmas almost straight after, and then I must admit I just fell into a book and bed... and now we're having electricity flash-outs, so I'd better get on with this while I can! So two stories today (but spaced out *g*), and please pretend it's yesterday just now!

Title: In the Bleak Midwinter
Author: Brenda K
Link to story or zine/ProsLib info: In the Bleak Midwinter at the Circuit Archive
Pairing: B/D

This is that other favourite-BrendaK-Christmas story of mine. She's got their voices spot on, and I can picture ep-lads, except they're even more so cos we see what's going on in all the other moments - like Christmas, from the one before they'd even met and are both anticipating starting with the new squad, to the one six years later, when... well. *g*

The spend some Christmases with their families too, and they're perfect too, in all the ways that they're absolutely not perfect... and Tattersall Road, and Benidorm - just brilliant, Benidorm!

It's not a shiny-sparkly-Christmas-bauble story, but it's Bodie and Doyle through and through, and of course it's Christmas in the end. *vbg*

This one is a favorite of mine, too, so I think I'll go and read it again. *g*
