Bodie breaks up with his girlfriend but doesn't want to waste the mysterious Christmas holiday she talked him into booking, so he invites Doyle instead.

"A fantasy hotel, that's what they call it," Bodie said wearily, returning from his chat with the manager, "all the rooms are decorated differently and you pick the one you fancy. He says it's very popular, especially with honeymooners." He glared at Doyle's grin, having endured enough already in the way of suppressed amusement.

I never would have expected aardvarks to pop up in Pros, or for B and D to have such big reactions to the costumes, either! but it is lovely to read and laugh along with, squirming and smiling. B doesn't look anything like an aardvark.

Pretty sure I hadn't read this one before and it was nicely light and happy, even with Doyle's depression at the beginning. Luckily Bodie has the cure, even if he's every bit as surprised as his partner!
