Thanks everyone who took part in the polls the other week - the results are in!
Shall we run the Christmas Prosfic Advent Calendar again?
Yes - 18 (11 of whom can volunteer)
No - 1
Or - shall we turn the daily Advent fic recs into a game (a treasure hunt or guessing game) for a change?
Yes - 8 (3 of whom could volunteer)
No - 9
Shall we continue with Reading Room Thursday in December?
Yes - 8 (7 along with Christmas calendar)
No - 11
So we shall indeed run the CI5hq Prosfic Advent Calendar again, but not as a game (by a margin of 1 vote!) - and we'll take a break from the ordinary Thursday calendar. *g*
So - are there any volunteers out there to rec/suggest/review/discuss/anything-you-like-as-long-as-you-at-least-post-the-name-of-a-fic-for-us-to-go-and-read-that-day Pros Christmas/winter/solstice/December/etc./ seasonal fics? *g*
All you need to do to join in is choose a day and comment below to let me know. If you want to nominate the fic you'll post about, particularly if you're up for discussing it so that people can read it ahead of time, then let me know its name (and link please, so I don't have to go hunting!) And if you don't know yet, but you're happy just to say that you'll post a link to a fic on that day, then that's fine too. I've volunteered to do the first day, just so you can see it's started... *g*
On your chosen day, you can do as much or as little as you'd rather. If you just want to say "Here's a Christmas fic I love!" and provide the link, then that's cool. If you want to write a review of it and stop comments, then that's fine. If you want to invite discussion, then go for it. And if you want to make it an all-singing all-dancing celebration of a particular fic, complete with pictures and associated music and videos, then that also works... *g* It's completely up to you! The only thing we're looking for is at least one Pros fic posted to the comm every day, so that there's a daily fic in our flists.
Please stick to lads' time (GMT) as closely as you can, just to avoid clashing dates (two fics posted on the same day, which might happen if someone was posting from Toronto and someone from Sydney, for instance). That said - there's also no reason we can't have more than one fic each day, so if the only day that you can post is the same as someone else's posting date, feel free to volunteer it and I'll slot that in. And if you want to volunteer for more than one day, that's excellent too. And finally - please keep an eye on the empty dates, and help us fill them in too! Now - without further ado...
ETA - ooh, I can use spoiler cuts for the Advent calendar doors!

I liked how you hid the titles.

The Path Not Taken Rhianne http://archiveofourown.org/works/422639
Imperfect and corny - difficult to see how it could be more Christmassy, if you look at it like that, and recalling one of the more recent Christmas traditions (i.e. less than 2000 years old).
