I came home on Tuesday to the news about
So... I thought perhaps the best thing to do might be to carry on with the schedule - an open rec-night for fics and stories and art and all involving our lads and Guy Fawkes night/Bonfire night. We can make up a list of Pros (stories, artwork, creations - whatever we can find and think of) that somehow connects to November 5th, and wonder what the lads would really think of the goings-on, considering their just-as-noisy occupation, and perhaps our comments will be like showers of sparks, shooting up into the night sky for
What do you think?

Moonlightmead was a well known lover of fic and discussion. If she was still with us she'd be reading if at all possible and joining in if she could.
I'm not so well myself at the moment, so I'm not sure how much I'll be able to contribute. But, flowery or not, Mead should have fireworks.

Date: 2015-11-05 12:05 am (UTC)Funnily enough, while searching for a fic I can remember but am struggling to find because really feeling quite poo (head & body conspiring against me) I ran across one of your 'Pros Fireworks' offerings.
I had no problem with the language in that :o)

I'll do my best. You do a great job with the Reading Room and MLM deserves the effort, but I'm teetering on the edge of a migraine - I get them so rarely - but they can affect my vision (glittery eye worms - very pretty and quite topical - but I can't see to use the computer). Hopefully 'teetering' will turn into 'went away'.
I'll definitely be with you in spirit, whatever the language :0)
RE: Showers of sparks, shooting up into the night sky
Date: 2015-11-05 08:03 am (UTC)I sympathise about the glittery eye worms - I've actually been experiencing them for the first time this week, and in fact they sent me to the emergency optician yesterday. These are just random flashes though, and except for last Wednesday not nearly enough to affect my sight or reading. I like glittery things, but I shall hope yours decide to go away too! (And don't forget that Reading Room isn't a single-night effort, you can join in any time - even weeks later (though granted unless other people are tracking the post, the discussers are fewer... *g*)
