Question

I don't know if this is actually allowed here or not, but I have a question. In fanon, it's mentioned that Ray doesn't like heights, and I vaguely remember that from canon (or perhaps fanon has taken over my brain). However, I can't remember what episode it's mentioned in. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

I can almost hear Ray saying to Bodie, "You're the one who's good with heights" but I can't recall which episode it's from.

It's the one with the kidnapped daughter and the baddie with the awful accent I think.

I can never remember episode titles.

The one where at the end they run into the building being demolished without telling anyone to stop demolishing it.

Ah, Ramos in Long Shot. Absolutely correct! Thank you. Here is the appropriate dialogue:

DOYLE: How do we get in?

SAMMY: First floor window. There. You can climb up that trellis.

BODIE: I'll take that. I've got a better head for heights.

Doesn't seem to slow D down in various precarious above-ground situations, though.

Questions, discussion, all most definitely allowed! Encouraged! *g*

I can never decide whether Bodie's being serious there, or whether it's yet another private joke between the two of them...

I've tended to take it as a private joke myself. Well, Doyle's reaction seems a bit "yeah, right" to me--but of course it's all subjective! Certainly Doyle has no problem with heights in other episodes--like "Blind Run" and going over that board. *g* But, in the interests of a story, fear of heights could be posited.

Yeah, I always thought he seemed pretty happy with heights (and chucking people off them, come to that - is it me, or does he do that a few times?!)Although I guess you could also notice the hand that Bodie lays on his back to steady him as he goes over the board in Blind Run... *g*

Ah, but that has nothing to do with Doyle's possible fear of heights.... ;-)

It could have! It could be all that gives him the strength, knowing that Bodie's there, that Bodie's expecting him to do it... Yeah okay, I don't buy it either, I was just trying to be helpful to the whole Doyle-doesn't-like-heights-scenario... *g*
