1 - Spam Posts!
Just a quick note, which I don't think will affect anyone who uses the comm - there seems to be an odd flurry of spam being posted around lj comms. Hopefully lj will catch it quickly (they're usually pretty good, I reckon) but just in case I've temporarily changed the comm settings so that only members can post, and requests for membership are sent to the mods first for approval. Comments are still open to all (if you get notification that one of your posts has a spam comment, then please just "delete as spam" from the options for the comment), and I think most people who post here are members anyway, so if I hadn't said anything, you'd probably never have noticed, but just in case. I've already deleted two spam posts from the comm, and one from Dialj - but this should stop them messing up our flists at least.

2 - Return of the Reading Room?
While I'm here, a few people have said they'd quite like to see some story discussion again, and maybe even have the Reading Room back. What do you think? Are enough people interested that we could give it a go...?

I know, so annoying... but as early as last night I saw that the spammer ljs were being deleted, so it looks like lj is on the case - good old goat... *g*

It is a pain, but I suppose it gets through, just like it does the letterbox and the telephone... what it's suppose to achieve, gawd knows - just to muck up lj I suppose, and piss people off...

I think time's the sticking point for most of us, but hopefully if enough people find time occasionally then we'll all circle round and have things to read too, when we can't join in the chat! *g*

Lol - when you say nonsensical, do you mean "in Russian"?! Lj seemed to get on top of it pretty quickly, luckily, at least some of the spam ljs had been deleted last night, so that's good. I guess it gets through still, now and then, just like it gets through my letterbox and my telephone...

Yeah, I should have put up a quick description of the Reading Room, shouldn't I, but I half had it in my head that I was only throwing the idea out there quickly, and half that I wasn't sure if we'd do it the same way we used to do it... but I'll post about it today, and we can all decide, I hope!
