I love Doyle's expression in this picture, how at last he's getting the chance to throttle Bodie.

I haven't had a chance to look up the links but well known classics such as Leslie Conch at The Circuit Archive e.g. Fly on the Wall, A Little Knowledge.., ET's Scoring a Try, Sebastian's In the Grotto (and Sebastian has some very funny scenes in more serious stories e.g. a phone conversation in Adagio), stories by Rebelcat at her journal, Pam Rose's Professional Dreamer, many by The Hag, JoJo, Callisto. Hee - it does look a bit like Bodie's being throttled from his expression, doesn't it! And then I look at where Doyle's hands are, and I think it's more like he's dragging Bodie along rather determinedly... *g* But yes - I love Doyle's expression too! They're just both so... mischievous in this pic, aren't they! *g*

And excellent suggestions - thank you! I vaguely thought of the Sebastian one, but couldn't remember it well enough to know whether it had a dark stretch to sombre us up, too... I sort of wanted to add Et in Italia Ego, but that's definitely got a darker tone than the gorgeous holiday-moments make it...

I should have asked this at the beginning but are you thinking of a different kind of story to your Amusing Story List? The reason I'm checking is because a few of the stories I'm thinking of e.g. Memoirs of a Merc, are already on that list.

I think the Amusing Story List (http://ci5hq.livejournal.com/164382.html) was supposed to be funny stories rather than just the lads-relaxed/mischievous/silly etc. But yeah, it's probably a fine line... *g* I imagine various stories would cross over, but that's cool - stories always do. *g* Stories that might not make you laugh out loud (be amused *g*) might still involve the lads having fun, though... *g*

And... yeah, A03 is fine, but... you do remember that we had three perfectly good Pros archives before it came along, right? Four even if you count the two Hatstands separately...! If anything I find it much harder to just go and rummage around for good Prosfic at A03 than I ever did there, cos they were all so well organised... and all Pros!

(ETA - twice, sorry - cos apparently I also found it easier to spell and type before today... *headdesk*)

I'm starting to need summer...

I loved the old archives - and still do - but a lot of the new stuff is only being put up on AO3, so in my head I think I'm seeing that as my first stop, go-to place to find things - then I kind of work my way back to the others. It's lovely to have the choices, and I hope like henry the older archives survive as separate entities. Part of me hates change, and part of me is all, 'ooh, shiny!'

I know, it's a shame the old archives aren't being updated any more (except for ProsLib of course - hurrah the archivists!), because that does mean it's only A03 that's there as an archive. I just find it difficult to search for stories I want to find. Looking for HG's fic to link, for example, was a bugger, cos I couldn't remember how she'd punctuated hgdoghouse, and if you get it wrong, you get nothing... The Circuit and Hatstand were so easy to search, cos you could see a long list of Pros authors right there in front of you, and just point yourself at the author you meant...

That's my one problem with AO3 too - I do find it hard to search. Hopefully though, it'll get better one day... Until then, my method of finding things has to be seen to be believed!

What a great idea! As much as I like to get all emotional about the lads there is special appeal in stories with them just being happy and content with their life and work together. So I'm going to sit here and take elaborate notes! *g*

What's the one at the beach where Doyle is tying himself in knots about Bodie's white trunks? (I need to (a) save more favourite fics and (b) do tags or something which tell me why I saved them.)

Oh blimey, now you're asking... I can think of a few at the beach, and various where they're appreciative of each other in swimming trunks, but not one in particular where Doyle's all excited about Bodie's white trunks... hopefully someone else might be able to remember, you've got me curious now! *g*

I can remember a lot about it, but nothing actually USEFUL.

They have not *done* anything yet, and they go to the beach and bodie has these white trunks which surprise Doyle and D gets an unwanted semi and ends up freezing his vitals in the sea to try to lose it... and D has thoughts about how if B got those trunks wet they'd go see-through... and then B gets moody for no reason D can see. And it eventually - I did warn for spoilers - turns out that B wore the trunks in an effort to put it all on show for D's benefit and then got ignored for his pains. And then it all ends up happily.

I may be making it sound not as readable as I clearly found it. :D
