Christmas Prosfic Calendar - 1st December

ci5hqI am surrounded by boxes, and I have one more flatpack bookcase to go before I can go to bed, but before I do that - along with all the other tat I've had in storage for years now, I unpacked my Pros zines today! I grabbed one at random for a quick read, because it looked as if it should have Christmas-y stories in it - and sure enough it did: The Hols of CI5 from Whatever You Do, Don't Press! in 1991. 
Best Seat in the House by Linda Terrell, in which the lads are sent to learn how to handle horses, and then sent on a rather special mission on Christmas eve. There has been, you see, "an international terrorist threat against a major charity organizer".
The lads must save the day, and save it they do of course, with a Santa Claus dressed in camos who shouts Haul ass! to his reindeer (and of course I can't help thinking he wants them to do what to donkeys...? *g*), and the magical moonbeams of Buster, the lead reindeer (not sure what's happened to Rudolph!) Santa's sleigh is magical and won't let the lads be harmed, but it comes equipped with a dashboard and a Vulcan mini-gun just in case - and they need them! The lads are the London component of the Santa-guard, and we hear in passing that Napoleon and Ilya took care of him in New York, and "a fascinating pair" in Miami... *g* It's all a rather riotous affair, and although it wasn't quite what I look for in a Christmas fic, it definitely passed an amusing few minutes!
So there - and I don't think that story's been reviewed on a Christmas list before, so...! I wonder what else is in this zine... *g*
