Desert Island Fics

ci5hqHi! Slanted Light asked me to come on over and make an official challenge to all the fic readers out there. Recently, for the Pros Slash Proliferation Challenge, I decided to list my Desert Island Fics--all the stories I would take with me were I to be stranded on a remote desert island (and given sufficient time to plan ahead!) and Desert Island Vids as well. Some folks seemed to get a kick out of it, and a few asked it I would mind them doing something similiar. Hell no! I say go for it. Here are the rules (According to Ancasta *g*):
Pick 10 fics. ONLY 10 (Don't cheat! Part of the interest with this comes from how hard the decision making process is and what has to get left out.). These stories can be from zines, the circuit, the online archives--whatever you like. Explain why you like each, quote if you want to. How you make your case is up to you. If you want to put them in order of preference, fine. If you'd rather not, that's okay too (do you get the sense I'm kind of arbitrary with the whole "rules" thing?). Just share with us what you like.
If you so choose, do the same with vids. I only did 5 here, because there are fewer vids overall. Some may feel there are perhaps only 3 they couldn't live without. Some may prefer not to worry about vids at all. I say this is entirely at your discretion.
So be a critic! You know you want to. Other readers will thank you for it. :-)
