December at CI5hq - again

A dozen people said they'd like to see the annual Pros story rec calendar again this year, but only six seven people (including myself) have volunteered to rec stories. I was hoping that the pros_newsletter would let more people know about it, but the links were tucked away near the bottom, and sadly not even noted as a call for volunteers (or for Pros Christmas). But thanks to hagsrus for posting to the Groups!

So - it rather depends on whether the volunteers we have are prepared to split the 24 days between them. Usually I cover any slack myself, and I can do that again a bit, this year - but the point is not that the recs all come from me, so...

What do you think? Any more volunteers?

I'll put up the dates, and if our kind volunteers could choose which one (ones, I hope!) they'd like, then we'll see if we can get ready for the 1st of December! If there are too many gaps for me to cover though, we may need to put the calendar out of its misery this year... You don't need to say what story you'll rec, just choose your day/s - that way it's a nice surprise in people's flits each day...

I can do more, so if there are any gaps I'll happily jump in, and I'm very flexible with the days, so if somebody would be able to rec on the 9th, I'd just take the next available date....

I usually do add the links, don't I - I'm just a touch rushed November! And since it all seemed to be old hands offering, I must admit I hoped they might already have them bookmarked... I'm dodging in and out right now, trying to finish up two jobs before I do the rest of my clearing-out tomorrow, and then leeeeeave on Saturday - but I'll get them up asap!

Why not the 13th of December? But what about the list of offered stories, if there is one? I like better the serious-minded works than anything set in fantasy, humor or fluff, if I have a choice.

You can recommend any Pros Christmas/Winter/December type story you like - there are quite a few lists around at the usual places, and you can choose whatever you like - the only thing that might affect what you choose is whether someone beats you to it. When I post the final calendar, I'll put up the various Christmas/December/Winter storylist links again, too.
