Is anyone else having problems accessing the Pro's CircuitArchive? (I'm using Chrome as a browser). Since last evening, I haven't been able to access the site.
Down on Firefox on Linux and on my (Android) phone - curse it, I was reading stuff only a few hours ago on the phone, but I think it was a cached page.

Well, it doesn't look like the name registration is expired, so it's not that - at least not yet. :-(
Maybe there's an issue with the website billing (e.g., credit card change not reflected in the automated billing)?
ETA: an expert at this, but I just tried pinging and a couple other tests, and there *is* a reply. It's as though the basic servers are responding, but there's nothing on them... :-(
ETA #2: sorry about the piecemeal updating. The "Empty reply from server" response from the server *could* indicate that the html isn't being read properly. This in turn *could* be caused by, say, maintenance work that the host service may have been doing (e.g., updating antivirus software).
This is really outside my skill set. Basically, whoever owns the site is going to have to get in touch with her hosting service.
I can't access it either. There is a message "No data received." In Chrome browser. Oh, no, I'm so worried about this x( The message also says, "Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data." Is server down now?
It's currently working. However, since that's a private website and not maintained any longer I'm never surprised when something like this disappears totally. If you want stuff from it, you'd better save it. :)
Just checked using Firefox and it's fine. It has to have been something to do with the web host/servers. But as someone else said, don't rely on privately maintained sites for ever! I always save a copy of any fics I really like and know I will want to re-read.
Phew! good to see it back up again. I was planning on getting all my favourite fics saved in the next few weeks anyway, but I shall make it a priority now.
If the site is no longer being maintained and there is a risk it will close, is there any chance that we could liaise with AO3's Open Doors project to get it transferred?
This question crops up from time to time, even in the short time I have been in Pros fandom (by the time I arrived, the Circuit Archive had stopped updating). The last discussion I saw about this was here on LJ: Circuit Archive discussion, June 2012 (http://the-safehouse.livejournal.com/1272533.html).
Thanks for that link. It looks like people had and continue to have genuine and legitimate concerns concerning permissions. On the other hand, now that AO3 has successfully transferred 852 Prospect and the filters are back up and running I think most of the other concerns have been addressed. It will be interesting to see how things work out over the next year or two.
On the gripping hand, I still think that the 12 hours I spent this week downloading every story over 50KB was a wise investment of time.

ETA: Not working in Internet Explorer either :(
