Reading Room XVI - A Story Series?
May. 7th, 2013 10:18 am

It's that time again - time to decide what the next Reading Room will be! The next theme on our list, winning the poll with double the votes of any other idea (okay, the votes were generally distributed as 2 for each suggested theme, but this one did get 4!), was Story Series.
So - the idea for this one is that we choose a story series at a time, and review each story in the series, one at a time. Of course what we need first are some suggested series! Is there a series that you love, or hate, or just think would be really interesting to discuss? It can have as many or as few stories in it as you like (from two to... lots *g*), though obviously if you pick a series with lots, it'll take longer to get through.
There are story list suggestions at at Palelyloitering (with links to the stories) and at the Hatstand.
And then we'll need volunteers to review each story in the series - unless anyone wants to volunteer to lead all stories in a series they choose, which would work too. Let me know below, and we can get scheduling... *g*

I adore Larton, and the Party Spirit series is fun - it'd keep us going for while, too! The only problem with Mr Doyle's Neighbourhood is that I'm not sure how easy it would be for everyone to get hold of the stories... Mind you, that might be a nice extra project - gathering together copies of all the stories, and then sending them to people who want to join in... I've got ten stories listed in that universe (http://www.palelyloitering.com/universes/mrdoylesneighbourhoodUniverse.htm), and I think they're all zine-only... though I discover that I have the first four myself, in British Takeaway I!
Thanks for the suggestions! I'm hoping other people will suggest series too - it seemed as though everyone wanted to carry on...
