(I hope
When we were first thinking of supernatural stories for this year's Reading Room,
She says:
Why not Angelic Lads? (or lads meshing - messing - with angels?)
I hoped there were some. Actually I know two or three of them (where "angels" were more a hint or a poetic, metaphorical figure than actual characters).
I remember at least three stories from the same author (Bardicvoice), where some angelic influence (real or metaphorical) was alluded: "Angels Unaware", where the angels, actually, are Bodie and Doyle, "Wolf in the Fold" and "A Reason for it All". But the hint is very light. I hoped there were more supernatural stories with clearly appearing angels in the fandom.
I think there are a few post-death stories where the lads meet various angels, and eventually it occurred to me that I'd even written one myself, but I can't think of the other titles and authors. Can anyone help? Stories which involve angels - to any degree, guise, or bent?!

"Bloody hell," Bodie said at last. "You never told me you were Angeline!"
Doyle tensed; his spine straightened, but he didn't turn. His silence spoke volumes.
"You're a Fallen, then," Bodie said with quiet wonder. An ex-Angeline, banished, on the run...

These are not necessarily the kind of angels
I'm sure there are more which fit better, but where they are, I dunno.

Date: 2013-03-04 01:02 pm (UTC)I can think of several Grim Reaper / Angel of Death stories:
My Golden Afternoon With the Grim Reaper by PRZed
Death takes a Holiday by Foxcat
There is a story where Cowley is stalked by the angel of death and Bodie (who can see the angel of death around people who are about to die) offers to give up a year (?) of his life to buy Cowley more time.
The title escapes me at the moment but I know I've read this in a zine. Hopefully someone knows the title or else I will have to ask over at the prosfinder community for help! *g*

Date: 2013-03-04 03:21 pm (UTC)Your zine story about the angel of death rings a bell, but I think I am confusing it with the stories where Cowley saves Bodie from a pact with the devil - are they by Jane Carnall? Ah yes, Hell Hath No Fury and The Price of a Soul. No angels there.
