Thanks to all the Advent Calendar Christmas reccers. You offered wonderful stories, new and old, and some I've never heard of. I hope this is a Christmas tradition that we can enjoy for many years to come.

And happy new year back to you too - and thank you for your recs! (It always seems odd to just suddenly stop the recs on the day before Christmas, and I did mean to post to thank everyone, but the day rushed by... so thank you for this, too! *g*)

ETA - hmmn, it occurs to me that perhaps we could try some other seasonal Reading Rooms this year - New Year in January (okay, we'd have to organise quickly!), Valentine's fics in February, erm... and so on! *g*

I agree. Seasonal reading rooms are a good idea. I was going to rec an additonal holiday story tonight, but couldn't find it. The one about Cowley and 'first footing'. The lads and a few other CI5ers go to see Cowley on New Years. Cowley asks Bodie to come in the door first, because of some Scottish tradition?

I reckon it might be The High Road (http://www.thecircuitarchive.com/tca/archive/10/thehigh.pdf), which is one of my favourite Pros stories, and the one I'd definitely rec for New Year... *g*
