You may be able to guess the story I have chosen for today, based on my pathetic drawing featured below.

After a difficult op that leaves him injured, Doyle is on his way to Derby to spend Christmas with his family. Something he hasn't done in years. Bodie is no where to be found.
The End Is Where We Start From by PFL, aka
msmoat
PFL is one of my favorite authors. For me, her characterization of the boys is always right on. She writes them with great affection, care and love for each other, despite their obstinance at actually admitting how they feel. A favorite scene is when Ray asks Bodie how he found him, and Bodie's explanation. They never make it easy for each other.
Merry Christmas!

Your scribbling is perfect, and when Doyle wrote the card I´ve seen your art in my mind.
Thanks for reminding and reccing!!

Date: 2012-12-23 10:53 pm (UTC)And I'm so glad you recommended this story. I'm very fond of it, as it was a Christmas gift to EOS many years ago. I put in most of the things she likes best in a story, and then added in a few of my own. *g* It makes me really happy when I hear other people enjoy it as well.
But, gosh, I can't get over that illustration! Thank you for the lovely Christmas gift in that!

Date: 2012-12-24 12:15 am (UTC)I don't think the drawing is perfect, but you are welcome to use it. I can email it to you from the original scan. I resized it to fit the lj format. I must admit, I almost did not post it, because I thought it was too pathetic. Kind of like the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Thank you for the compliment. xo
