In the Bleak Midwinter by Brenda K

Brenda K is one of my favourite Pros authors, and here she shows us not just our lads and how they got together - and how they fell in love - but a little bit of their backgrounds too: their families at Christmas time.

And how can you not love a story with a line like this:

"Happy Christmas, Bodie," Doyle says suddenly. "Daft prat."

I'd saved this story but never got around to reading it. I have now pulled it from my Pros file and plan to give it a go today. :-) (I would have used a Pros Christmas icon bu LJ is acting weird.)

Thank you for the rec - it's another story I'd forgotten all about, and last night I was just in the mood, so I sat up late reading and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now I've got bags under my eyes, and I don't care *g*

A great rec - nothing soppy, still so much emotions. She is always a really good writer!
