Reading Room XIII...?
Oct. 31st, 2012 10:20 pm*kicks self* - If I'd realised it was the 13th themed reading room I would have forced a Halloween theme on us! Ah well - hey-ho! *g*
I'm starting with the poll about a November Reading Room - thanks everyone who clicked! 13 people did click (hee - 13 again!), 11 of whom said they'd like a November Reading Room, 5 of whom said they'd be up for reviewing/posting a story for discussion, and 6 more of whom said they couldn't post but would be happy to join in a discussion. That sounds like a quorum to me, so... *g*
...the next question is, what will our November theme be?!
I think we've run out of suggested themes (how did that happen? Am I missing something? If you made a suggestion and we've not had it, and it should be on a list, please let me know!) Possibilities:
- Stories for Autumn (we had a suggestion a while ago for seasonal themes, which was going to be a more intricate kind of theme, but hasn't yet happened - but we could start more simply!)
- Free reviews - volunteer to review anything you like!
- A Month of Authors (rec/review a particular author, rather than a single story)
- Other suggestions?
What do you reckon? Please comment below - if there's a clear preference in the comments, we'll go for that, and if there isn't then we can have another clicky-poll! *g*
Reading Room Theme I - Science Fiction
Reading Room Theme II - Gay Undercover
Reading Room Theme III - Stories When the Lads First Meet
Reading Room Theme IV - Older Lads Fic
Reading Room Theme V - The Lads on Holiday
Reading Room Theme VI - The Lads In Other Times
Reading Room Theme VII - Told through Letters/Diaries
Reading Room VIII - Third Party Viewpoint
Reading Room IX - Fusion Stories (not crossovers, but stories inspired by other media: films, novels etc)
Reading Room X - Crossovers
Reading Room XI - Minor Characters We Like
Reading Room XII - Younger Lads

Date: 2012-11-01 10:06 am (UTC)I've been thinking of an author-focussed reading room for a while now, so I'm glad you like it too. It'd also be nice if that could be for longer than a month - so many authors! *g* - so if people are happy with autumn too, then maybe we should play with authors next year...
Thank you!
