CI5hq MiniReview Challenge!
Jul. 10th, 2012 11:16 amIt's quiet again (though there'll be a new Reading Room soon) so I thought we might try a CI5hq-type challenge, just as something a bit different...
Are you reading Prosfic at the moment? Are you enjoying it, or hating it, or just thinking it's okay? Either way - post a mini-review here to CI5hq to let other people know! It need be no more than the title, the author and whether or not you like it particularly - or it could include a quote from the story, something that made you think, something that made you cry (or with laughter... *g*) Whether the story's been reviewed before or not, we'd like to know what you think of it!
How many reviews can we get up by the end of the week? And what new stories might we discover...? *g*

Date: 2012-07-10 10:39 am (UTC)This night I read Fugue in V Minor by Anne Carr.
http://www.thecircuitarchive.com/tca/archive/0/fuguein.html
It's het.
Yeah! Damn...! ;-)
But it's an abandoned cottage, we have a young, good looking woman. There is thunderstorm and rain, and an open fire and then we get an injured Bodie who has lost his memory – delivered on a silver tablet.
What's not to love? :-)
- and of course Doyle comes to the rescue!

Date: 2012-07-10 11:13 am (UTC)Not quite my thing as het, of course... *g*
Why that?
No honestly.
Isn't it enough that 'Bodie and Doyle get each other' in 98% of the stories, that we can't enjoy something else now and then?
It's no complicated relational drama. Just a short story about a woman and Bodie in a cottage, and in the end there is Doyle.

Date: 2012-07-10 11:20 am (UTC)I'm just not interested in reading het Pros fanfic - my interest in Pros arises from the B/D relationship. The rest of it is just background. So if B/D isn't there, then I'm just not particularly interested. It's the same with anything - there needs to be something that catches my interest, I can't just pick up any old book and enjoy reading it!
Each to their own, as we say... (or "one man's meat is another man's poison"...)
