Beta Central reminder

Writers who would like a story beta-d can volunteer it for the Beta Central list, will be given a Monday date, and can then post it on that day for beta comments and help checking and editing from ci5hq readers. Hopefully this will be a helpful experience for everyone - writers and betas - who'd like to see lots of good Pros fic that people will love to read. *g*

We've not had a Beta Central post for a while now - does anyone out there have a story they'd like betad, or to offer for constructive criticism? Or is there anything you'd like to discuss about writing Pros fic? Monday the 23rd of April is open for posting - comment below, and it's all yours! *g*

ack - tried to post a while ago but the whole phone system went down - in the middle of my 1.43GB .pst download, which takes 4 hours and has failed 4 times already. Grrr.

I do have a something, but I have hesitated to post it anywhere because it's a bit of an odd pairing. I wrote a Doyle/Macklin story. Don't ask me why, or what I was thinking I would do with it, because I just don't know. It has been lurking in my files for a few months now. It has no death/rape/non-con/BDSM/underage or anything like that, but I am aware that Doyle/Macklin won't be to most people's tastes! However, it would be quite useful to bring it to this forum, given that I am 7000 words into my Big Bang story and it would be great to get help on problems before I write the next 8000+ words. I'm not very confident about my writing anyway so any help/advice etc. would be gratefully received.

If someone else has something nicer, please feel free to offer it here instead! We could let this post run for a few days to see what everyone else is waiting to beta. Okay?

Well, I've got to admit that D/anyone except Bodie isn't my cup of tea, but there are many people out there who are far more open-minded about that than I am, so... *g*

If you'd rather hang on and see if there are other volunteers then it's up to you, but I'd say go for it, if you'd like some advice! *g*

You’ve whetted my curiosity (rather than my appetite) even though I’m with BSL on any pairing other than Bodie and Doyle. I would like to think I can be impartial and I would certainly try to help out .... having said that, I’m going to be off-line for a couple of days, so would probably be very late posting anything.
