I personally like my boating one best, but I'm very glad you like the horses. Bodie's expression *is* fun - especially next to Ray's, uh, "Wild Child" look.
Hee - well, I'm glad you like them! And I can stare at my nice orange desktop any time I like. I'll definitely be making more in the future. Probably tackle motorcycles next.
They're both absolutely fantastic but I prefer the horses too (I love horses). The main reason why Weekend In The Country is one of my fav episodes is Doyle on horseback *drool*. Well, and Dr. Doyle's home surgery of course :D
I'm always slightly puzzled by Weekend in the Country, though I love the ep. I mean, *when* did Doyle have the opportunity to learn field surgery? Obviously not in the army. CI5 would teach them emergency first aid, but field surgery is a fairly specialized discipline and not much use in an urban setting. Plus, Bodie's shown no ability in any other episode. So did Doyle learn it on his own? Why?
Bodie's mechanical skills make perfect sense, though. I imagine if you want to keep vehicles running in Africa, you have to do all the repairs yourself.
Oh, thank you! Yeah, okay, I'm with the horse crowd too--sorry! *g* I don't remember ever seeing the smaller photo of Bodie with the horse, so that was especially welcome.
As for "Weekend"--I love that episode. Although, as a medical friend of mine said, Doyle ought not to have done what he did with the wound. But then, maybe he meant to weaken the guy even further....
Okay, what shouldn't Doyle have specifically done with the wound? How good a field surgeon was he? Was it all a bluff? Seat-of-the-pants surgery?
Inquiring minds want to know.
You might not recognize the smaller photo of Bodie with the horse because there used to be a tree behind them. I, uh, erased it. Which changes the look of the photo a fair bit.
