New Parody: A CI5 Christmas Carol

Being as the holiday season's not *quite* over, I'd like to slip one more in!

This parody was inspired - in the most affectionate of spirits - by ancastar's absolutely terrific story, "A Bodie Carol". I went off on a little riff in the DIALJ comments section and rather than get annoyed with me, she encouraged me to finish it.

So, here it is!

ROFLMFAO!!! This one had me in stitches. I always fell off my chair laughing in between (Doyle sitting on Bodie, wrestling for the photos for instance). Murphy's special punch is hilarious (just don't eat the fruit, right). You got a great talent there! Thanks for sharing and for a bloody good laugh.

I'm so happy I could make you laugh! And honest, it's true. I've had Murphy's punch. The fruit is deadly (I tried a piece once and it made my lips go numb), but the other stuff isn't all *that* bad (assuming you have very low standards for alcohol).

OTOH, Starsky's arse is most lovely as well. He puts a certain wiggle in his walk... Mm... ;-) But I'm a multi-fandom girl. Need my Bodie/Doyle, Napoleon/Illya, Starsky/Hutch, Harper/anyone-except-Tyr, entire-cast-of-Firefly, Buffy, and A-Team fix!

LOL, you're a busy little bee. I'm so not a S&H fan and will never be. They just can't compare to B&D. But what's wrong with Tyr? I like him a lot - especially in chain mail *drool*

My hubby says S&H are an entirely different genre from B&D and can't be compared. It's like comparing cotton candy and... a single malt scotch.

Pros is serious stuff with intricate plots and challenging topics, and some really top-notch writing. S&H is silly fluff with lots of man-hugging, thigh clutching and slashy joy. Sometimes I want my candy. Sometimes I want my scotch. It's all a matter of what I'm in the mood for.

And there ain't nothing wrong with Tyr! But I don't want to see him rogering Harper. :-p (I do go for Tyr/Dylan, however!)

However, you are now being investigated for treason by Cowley, and he's sending Tommy to pick you up. But don't worry! You can always hire the A-Team, who are eager to support your second amendment rights (to bear arms), regardless of whether or not you're American. Hannibal's still fighting the revolution, you see.

Meanwhile UNCLE is very interested in how you acquired said laser sight, THRUSH is sending over their top recruiter, who looks an awful lot like Vincent Price, and S&H are quickly moving their gun collection out of their hall closets.

And don't worry about Tommy - nicked his gun too and now he's sitting in the corner, crying for the only mate he ever had.

The A-Team is always welcome as long as they don't beat up the furniture (or probably eat it in B.A.'s case).

I commented over in DIAJL, but I wanted to drop a note here as well. I think this is =inspired=! I love Murphy's enthusiasm, Ray's petulance, and Bodie's mix of good humor and chagrin. The baby pictures are hysterical, and Cowley's little moment of "What?! No lines?" made me laugh out loud. Funny, funny stuff.

Glad you liked the parody! I've done a few others in the S&H fandom, and script format is definitely the way to go. Saves you from getting bogged down in details when all you want is the funny.

Thanks! Hey, I just watched A Weekend in the Country, and a happy Bodie hamming it up for his girlfriend has me believing that there's probably a lot of silliness that goes on in the halls of CI5 when we're not watching.

After all, I remember being in the military - put a bunch of tough reg force guys together with nothing to do and they start camping it up outrageously. I just like the idea of Ross playing head games with them all. ;-)
