Title: There's An Old Mill...
Author: O Yardley
Link to story: http://www.thecircuitarchive.com/tca/archive/7/theresan.html
Pairing: Bodie/Doyle

I absolutely adore this story and there wasnt another story I was going to recc when I decided to do this. I just hoped that no one else got there before me. Thanks, y'all, for not doing so *g*

It's a first time but still has that touch of will-they, wont-they that I love. Bodie decides to book a week away for him and Doyle over Christmas. Of course, it snows, and Doyle grumbles. Particularly when they come across what Bodie has booked and it looks horrendous.

But they settle in, buying provisions and a lovely Christmas tree (Bodie's idea), but the Doyle spots the pressies Bodie has bought and decides he needs to buy one for Bodie too. He has the thought of playing Father Christmas and hanging up their Christmas Stockings...but...

Anyway, you need to read it and I hope enjoy it.

Happy Christmas everyone xxx

Oh, yes, one of the first Pros Christmas stories I ever read, and thus always a favorite! I like that feeling of them getting away from CI5, away from the extraordinary lives they lead--and finding something extraordinary for themselves there, as well. *g* Thank you for the reminder!

I don't think I'd even heard of this one so thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I do love this one. I think O' Yardley used it later for the beginning of Lovesome Thing, didn't she? (And it's my favorite part of the zine.) ;-)

Very, very charming.

It's a beautiful feelgood story, and it's lovely how they come together because of that little misunderstanding in the night. :-)

And I would love to see Bodie building a snowman!
Thanks for the rec!
