I know, I'm late, I'm sorry... hello, meet me... *g* But it's still the 7th in most countries!

Title: So Here It Is, Merry Christmas
Author: Brenda K
Link to story or zine/ProsLib info: Circuit Archive or The Hatstand
Pairing: Bodie/Doyle
Further story information found at [livejournal.com profile] prosficspoilers

BrendaK ([livejournal.com profile] brenk that was) is one of my favourite Pros writers, and although she's written other Christmas-y stories, I thought I'd start by reccing one that's possibly less well known but an awful lot of fun. The lads on stakeout chat about lonely goatherds and reminisce about Christmases past, and they're just their very gorgeous selves in Brenda K's capable hands. Also, it feels like Christmas - she paints a vivid picture and a tinselled atmosphere throughout - and I can hear those bloody songs... *g*

I don't think I've read this one before, so I have something Christmas-y to look forward to. Thanks for the rec.

"Slade," Bodie informed him, trying not to let 'High on a hill with a castle moat' creep into his brain, where it was sure to crawl around insidiously for the rest of the evening, or even all night if the standby turned into a callout. Well, he could always yodel the bad guys into submission. *g*

Ah, that was funny and feeling... homely somehow, in a very positive way. Brenda K creates such an atmosphere of familiarity. The lads coming up with their own Christmas traditions. I like the food-sex connection throughout *g*
Thanks for the rec!

Yep, that's a fabulous little story.

The banter between the lads seems so very natural, giving the whole thing a lovely warmth ... just right for Christmas.

Brenda K - I like her stories "Matters in Hand" and "Benevolence" very much. And Roven was right: "yodel the bad guys into submission"... that's funny. I didn't remember this story, but it's really nice to read, a good choice for this time of the year.

"Matters in Hand" has the hottest threesome I ever read... most authors don't write it, although it is such a great possibility to show developing feelings.
She has a way of writing in this story I seldom read - a sort of dry, cool language, no direct speech, still it is so vibrant, so much emotions.

A nice little sugar plum of a story. Very pleasant reading on a chilly winter's night.

I really like the way Brenda K characterizes Doyle in her stories. I had not read this one. Very enjoyable!

I really liked the banter - and the silliness over Sound of Music!! Thanks for the rec!
