Christmas Reading Room December 5
Dec. 5th, 2010 10:37 amTitle: Jingle Balls or Hard Times
Author: M.Fae Glasgow
Pairing: B/D

Another offering from M.Fae Glasgow!
In this story, a CI5 Christmas orgy is told from a paralytic Doyle’s point of view.
Blatantly lusting after Bodie … who’d arrived authentically decked-out in a kilt, no less … Doyle attempts to rationalise his feelings towards him whilst literally lying under the table, enjoying the scenery.
His drunken thought processes are written in a beautifully perceptive, believable and very humorous way.
“And a new glass. This one’s got a hole in it.”
As the night progresses, insecurities result in misunderstandings but, eventually, the deep affection they obviously feel sees them through.
There’s no dark ending to this little tale. It’s warm and tender and just … ahhh!
I've done this piccie to add to the imagery ... hope it's not too distracting (or too big seeing that Lj have resized their images)!

Date: 2010-12-05 04:47 pm (UTC)Doyle's really in his own little world there, meaning he can concentrate on his favourite view ... without qualms!

Date: 2010-12-05 04:58 pm (UTC)It is sharp and snappy ... and even really quite sad in places ... but I chose it because it does have a happy ending and that's something that is, more often than not, essential for me.
Glad you appreciate the manip. I wasn't sure if it would work.

Date: 2010-12-05 05:05 pm (UTC)Unfortunately, I couldn't position the camera at the perfect angle so that we could share Doyle's view ... but then we should leave them a little privacy! *g*
