The Reading Room at Christmas

It looks like there's a number of people who like the idea of a Reading Room Advent Calendar for Christmas - a suggested Christmas-y/Winter-y/December-y story for every day from the 1st to 25th of the month, so...

Let me know which day/s and which story/s you'd like to suggest/rec/review. You don't have to claim a particular story - you can just claim a day and then choose a story at your leisure from the plethora of Pros Christmas-y ones out there (if you'd like some inspiration, the discoveredinalj user info page has tags to the Christmas challenges past, an archive of many Winter/Christmas fics, there's Christmas lists up at Hatstand and ProsLib, and I imagine there's a "Christmas" tag at AutoHatstand too) - someone might post the story you've chosen before you, but its fun to go looking for new ones, too, right? That's what I'll be doing, anyway!

I've screened comments below, but I'll fill in the days as people volunteer for them as soon as they're taken. Hmmn, I wasn't going to list the stories recced (just tell people if one they've specifically chosen has been claimed already) so as to have each story as a surprise, but if the majority of people would rather not have them come as a surprise on the day, and would rather have the list visible to everyone, then I'll add the information - tell me what you think...

And if you'd like to choose half a dozen days, then that'd be brilliant too, because otherwise I'll be filling in the unclaimed days myself and I'm sure it's nice to see other people on lj... *g*

The posts don't need to be complicated - they can be as simple as:

The idea is just to have a story suggestion in our flists every day... although if you'd like to add a review or illustrations, or mistletoe or elves then that's brilliant too... *g* Oh, and we'd better say - please try to post at lads' time on your day - ie, the days are approximately GMT, since we have interested people from many timezones - otherwise it could all get very tangly!
