So sorry that I didn’t manage to join in chatting about Larton, but just reading the comments to byslantedlight’s excellent review is enough to put a big silly grin on my face. Also proves me wrong that there is less to say with a well-loved fic. It was wonderful to read all the reasons for readers' love of Larton, even if it's as original fic. Many thanks, byslantedlight, for prompting the Larton fest.

Coming up this week is another fic that was (until recently) available only in print, but now is available on the Proslib CD, and currently online, thanks to Frances’ good offices.

Hee - there were only a couple of people who said they thought Larton was more like original fic - for most of us it was spot on our lads. Yeay! *g*

I had a quick look, and I agree. A well-written 'very affectionate gen' can be just as rewarding as slash, imho.

I'm new to the whole world of the Professionals, but I've fallen hard! Can anyone review a Pro's story for the Reading Room? I've found a few I really like and would like the chance to discuss them. How and where do I post a review? Thanks for the help!

This is a weekly thing with the review usually posted on a Thursday. So name a Thursday or two after 12 August [edit: make that after 19 August] and a fic or two in a comment here (or in a personal message to me) and I will schedule them for The Reading Room.

I try to post a reminder every Tuesday, for the benefit of readers and reccers.

Last but not least - you don't have to wait! You can post a recc or review for a fic here at ci5hq any time you want.

Just please use a header as per the ci5hq user info and if you wish to give a warning or spoiler/s, use a separate post at prosficspoilers.
